The idea has been floated many times and always rejected. The level of play, once fairly close, now is a very large in favor of the NFL. There is probably only one city the NFL would be interested in…Toronto. The other cities are too small and do not add to the TV blueprint! Honestly that wasnt something I had heard about but Canadian football beguiles me nevertheless. I remember Pat Bowlen a Canadian businessman attempting or at least threatening to relocate the Denver Broncos to Vancouver Canada unless conditions were met which included a mostly taxpayer funded stadium rechristened Invesco Field at Mile High. But in fairness Bowlen held up his end although maybe not without a few heartbreaks. My suggestion is to merge the NFL with the CFL although that isnt very likely to happen now. I think the CFL is better organized. A more proactive methodology might have allowed for a refurbishment across the NFL according to CFL specifications. Admittedly it would have required a Hercluean effort and might have upset traditionalists but I think it was an opportunity squandered. Now we are still dealing with a divided North American football league. Id prefer it to be reunited again. F.W.I.W. Canadian rules preferably but not necessarily. But I prefer Canadian football.
