He was a perfect gentleman, with no “airs” who spoke with me and everyone else as complete equals. He had no sense of superiority and was excellent company for the 10 minutes I had with him. I grew up in Hollywood and was a limo driver who had occasion to meet and spend time with many famous people in the confines of a car. Many are asshats who believe they are superior. Many are just delightful people you’d be pleased to share a drink or a meal with. Mr Downey is absolutely one of the latter.
