Indeed, this is how I have heard the message of the Bible portrayed occasionally (though usually in more polite terms). If (as suggested in Romans) the work of Christ was planned from the beginning, isn’t Jesus sort of, well…faking it? Isn’t it all a foregone conclusion from before the fall?
