Boston, New York, Detroit, Chicago, Minnesota, Philly, and Pittsburgh all have fans as devoted as any Canadian fans. Sure the sport lags in places like Dallas and Florida, but they still sell out when the team is doing well. 2- the USA has 335 million people. Canada has 35 million. Canada supports a quarter of the NHL with only 1/10th the population of the USA. Where else would you put an NHL team in Canada?
